82 Degrees was one of the first water paintings I created back in 2016. I was inspired to create this piece after spending some warm summer days gazing at the light patterns in my backyard swimming pool. With each painting I strive to capture the feeling of being in or near water. I am continually inspired by the natural beauty and ever-changing nature of water, the glowing light and mesmerizing patterning of refracted sunlight.  This painting was created using many thin layers of transparent oil glazes.

The sides of the canvas are painted as an extension of the painting.
